
Authentic and Hearty Chinese Braised Pork Trotters

INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- ·500g pig's trotter
Additional Ingredients
- ·5g chives
- ·10g ginger
- ·5g garlic
- ·30g green and red pepper
- ·6g garlic leaves
- ·6 dried chilies
Seasonings
- ·1 tablespoon cooking wine
- ·1 star anise
- ·2 bay leaves
- ·8g rock sugar
- ·1 tablespoon soy sauce
- ·1 spoon dark soy sauce
- ·1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- ·1 spoon soybean paste
- ·Half bottle of beer
DIRECTIONS
Step 1
Cut the pig's trotters into pieces and put them in a pot with cold water.
Step 2
Add onion, ginger and cooking wine , cook until foam appears and remove from the mixture.
Step 3
Pour oil into the pan, add the blanched pig's trotters into the hot oil and fry until slightly browned.
Step 4
Add ginger, garlic, cinnamon, star anise, bay leaves, dried chili peppers, rock sugar, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and soybean paste.
Step 5
Pour in half a bottle of beer and a bowl of hot water until it covers the ingredients.
Step 6
Cover and simmer on low heat for 40 minutes.
Step 7
Finally, add green and red peppers and garlic leaves and cook over high heat until the sauce thickens.
