Storage and Reheating
Leftover asparagus can be placed in a sealed container and stored in the refrigerator for up to three days. Make sure they are cooled down before placing them inside.
When you want to eat the leftover asparagus, just put it back in the air fryer, set it to 180°C, and heat for 3 minutes, ensuring it stays crispy on the outside. If you don’t have an air fryer, you can also reheat it in a skillet, just flip it for a few minutes.
FAQs:
Frozen asparagus will release some moisture during heating, so it’s best to roast it first to let out the moisture, then season and continue roasting for better texture.
If you thaw it in advance, it might lose some of its crispness. Roasting it directly is the easiest and keeps it tender.
If it’s still too firm, you can roast it a little longer until it reaches the crisp-tender texture you prefer.
After cooling, drain the water, place it in a sealed bag, and remove the air before freezing. This way, the asparagus will still be quite crisp after thawing!
The key is to consider the texture you like. If you prefer it crisper, you can shorten the cooking time.
A softer asparagus is also fine, as long as it doesn’t become mushy. It can still taste delicious!
