DIRECTIONS
Step 1
Red date treatment:
Soak 100 grams of red dates in advance for 2 hours, and then steam for 10 minutes over medium heat to make them soft.
Step 2
Stir cornmeal:
Put 120 grams of cornmeal into a basin, add 30 grams of sugar, and then add 50 grams of clear water in small amounts and multiple times, and stir while adding until it becomes flocculent.
Step 3
Steam cornmeal:
Spread gauze in the steamer, pour the flocculent cornmeal into the steamer, and steam over high heat for 20 minutes.
Step 4
Knead the cornmeal into shape:
Take the steamed cornmeal out of the steamer and put it on the chopping board. Knead repeatedly until it is soft and mushy and forms a ball. Then knead it into a long strip.
Step 5
Make jujube cut cake blank:
Cut the long strip into three equal parts of uniform size. Dip oil on your hands and rolling pin. Roll the three dough pieces into 1 centimeter thick slices in turn. Place the steamed red dates evenly on the rolled dough. Cover with dough and then spread red dates flat. Repeat this operation once. Then cut off the excess part with a knife to make it a rectangular long strip.

Finished product treatment:
Cut the rectangular long strip evenly into 6 pieces and carefully arrange the cut products.
