INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- ·1 fresh pork trotter
- ·50g yellow soybeans
Additional Ingredients
- ·8 red dates
- ·2 dried plums (prunes)
Seasonings
- ·15ml oil
- ·3g salt
DIRECTIONS
Step 1
Pork trotter processing and blanching:
Cut the pork trotters into even small pieces.
Add 500ml of water to a pot and place the pork trotters in it.
Turn on the heat and wait for the water to boil for 2-3 minutes. Then, remove the trotters and drain the water.
Step 2
Stir-fry pork trotters:
Pour 15 milliliters of oil into the pot. After the oil is hot, put in the drained pork trotter pieces and stir-fry over medium-low heat to make the surface of the pork trotters heated evenly and turn slightly brown to stimulate the fragrance.
Step 3
Stir-fry soybeans:
Put 50 grams of soybeans into the pot and stir-fry with pork trotters for 3 - 5 minutes until the skin of soybeans is slightly wrinkled and the bean fragrance is emitted, making them initially heated and flavored.
Step 4
Add water and ingredients:
After the soybeans are fried, pour 500 milliliters of clear water to ensure that the water level just covers the ingredients. Then put in 8 red dates and 2 prunes to enrich the taste and nutrition of the soup.
Step 5
Seasoning:
Add 3 grams of salt to the pot and stir evenly to dissolve the salt in the water to adjust the base taste of the soup and make the tastes of various ingredients blend better.
Cover the pot and simmer over medium heat for 5 - 8 minutes. After the soup boils, pour all the ingredients into the pressure cooker.
Step 6
Pressurize with a pressure cooker:
After the pressure cooker is pressurized, press for 20 minutes to make the pork trotters become soft and glutinous and the soybeans become dense. After releasing the pressure, the Pork Trotter Soup with Soybeans is ready and can be served.
